Bob has passed on since then and I for one would love to say thank you to him once again for getting our company involved with Progressive Foam.

Vinyl siding when it first came out onto the market was for those companies who could only sell a cheap price, the material was cheap and so was the labor. Little did those early vinyl siding contractors know there were problems on the rise? The early vinyl siding had lots of problems, expansion and contraction rates, fading, cracking and no real installation directions except to cut short and nail loose.

As vinyl siding became more popular and the manufacturers slowed down and started to produce vinyl siding that would actually preform and installer who actually knew how to install it properly. Today vinyl siding comes with life time fade protection and manufacturers have made water management products to help protect the home’s exterior walls before installing siding.

Progressive foam noticed that vinyl siding did not offer any insulation, water permeability, looked wavy on the wall and lacked impact resistance. That’s when Progressive Foam said we can add R-Value to Vinyl Siding, we can add water permeability to our insulation and yes we can help not only keep the walls straight but add impact resistance and that product 19 years ago was called Thermal Wall & Thermal Wall Plus. Well that was 19 years ago and Progressive Foam keeps improving their products to help home owners save energy.
